This highlight of the corporate social calendar in 2008 was enjoyed by well over 1000 guests and played host to an array of top class entertainment.

The Press & Journal Energy Ball organised by George Walker Events provided an excellent platform for major players in the industry to socialise together and be part of what was probably the most spectacular event of its kind ever to be staged in Aberdeen. World class violinist Victoria Yellop wowed the audience as she performed a wide selection of pieces joined by aerialist silks dancers. The Red Hot Chilli Pipers brought guests to their feet with their unique “Rock Bagpipes” and Björn Again, hailed as the most successful act of its type, kept the giant white dance floor packed all night long.

Perhaps most importantly, The Press & Journal’s own Peter Mitchell announced the exciting news on the night that they would be donating all the profits from the event to charity and an amazing £10,000 had already been donated to local cancer charity UCAN.
